About Victoria Solares:
Bio : Victoria Solares was born in June 2003 in Whittier, California. In 2025 she will receive her degree in Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts with a focus in Costuming and Arts Leadership and Business at the University of New Mexico. Solares has lead multiple social media platforms including running a social media campaign for a fashion charity event in Hatfield, England. This spring Solares will complete her Capstone Project at the University of New Mexico at the Arts Lab, where she currently lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Artist statement : “Reduce, reuse, recycle!” I said that once when I was in a commercial at 4, but ever since then it stuck with me. There is purpose in everything and to find new purpose in something is even greater. Although I might grow tired or lose interest in a piece of fabric I still want to cherish its beauty and memories. Which is why I can’t help but reuse pieces in my art to create something new and unique for others to want to have in their collections. I want my designs to inspire others to venture out into new styles and to continue to use the resources available around us to grace our eyes while walking down the street.
